Tracie Puckett Likes to Break All The Rules
It is Tuesday, which in the publishing world means it’s release day. But this isn’t just any release day, Tracie Puckett’s Breaking Rules debuted at #1 (yes, #1!!) on iBooks Australia! (Isn’t the cover beautiful?!?!)
Now, Tracie is my friend. So of course I’m a little biased, but seriously, the girl knows how to write a story! And when I say she likes to break all the rules, I mean it. She breaks all the rules! She’s beautiful, smart, far too young (compared to me), and a mom. She rose to fame all on her own with two awesome young adult series, and now she’s published her first full length novel. She’s blazing the way for indie’s and building a solid business out publishing.
If you haven’t picked up her young adult series Just a Little, then grab the first four stories on Amazon for free here: link.
Did I mention I’m a character in Breaking Rules? Well, there is a character with my name… and she happens to own the town bookstore which is my other dream life! So… I’m pretty stoked.
So, what is Breaking Rules all about? Here is the synopsis:
Sometimes, the lessons of childhood are damaging enough that, by eighteen, you’ve figured out some rules so you don’t repeat your parents’ mistakes. For Mandy, that meant finishing her last year of high school, going to college, and then returning to small-town Sugar Creek to live a solitary life as a writer.
That was the plan, and her main rule for avoiding complications and staying on track was to never, ever, EVER let someone get too close.
That was before she met Gabe.
And when Gabe starts to awaken emotions she’s never experienced, Mandy suddenly begins to question every belief she’s ever had.
She can’t be falling in love, can she? That would be the biggest mistake of her life, wouldn’t it? Could she break one of her most important rules—for Gabe?
