Surprise! 5 Dirty Sins is Here!
It’s kind of a surprise release day since I didn’t really tell anyone it was coming. Yes, if you were digging around you probably knew 5 Dirty Sins was dropping today, but most of the world did not!
I suffered some wicked writer’s block while writing this story. I had to get pretty mean and dirty to force this story out of my head. But it’s here and I’m so excited for you all to meet Logan and Nora!
Since there was no build up to today’s release you probably don’t know anything about the book other than the fact that it’s the fifth book in the Tease Universe. So I’m going to drop all the buy links right here, then if you scroll down, I’ll give you a quick rundown on the who/what/where/when/why of 5 Dirty Sins!
Who: Nora Ford / Madeline Faints
Yes, you read that right! Our heroine is living a double (okay, triple) life! You have no idea how hard this was to write so it made sense! Nora is a quiet, introverted, socially awkward musical phenom.
Six years ago a deadly stalker forced her to run in order to save her life (and the life of her parents.) But she couldn’t leave music behind. It wasn’t just in her blood, it was everything. So she created Madeline Faints, a singer who only appears in disguise:
I never appeared in public without my face disguised and while it might seem contradictory to hide as a celebrity, it was actually perfect. Celebrities never looked like themselves, they were always surrounded by security, and I could act as eccentrically as I needed to.
But the bright lights and fear of being discovered have worn thin. Madeline wants a real life with roots, friends, and a future. That’s when she moves into a quaint little cottage in Calhoun Beach. Right next door to our hero!
Who #2: Logan Phillips
He only has the one name, but he does have a past he doesn’t talk about.
I busied myself with the coffee hoping that this time around I’d be able to form complete sentences and act remotely normal. I dumped the already ground coffee into the basket, filled the reservoir with water, and hit the button, all without a word or a glance back at Logan.
And he hadn’t said anything either. It wasn’t until I turned around and found him very obviously appreciating my ass that I realized why.
I crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes. “Excuse me?”
His eyes flicked up to mine and he shrugged.
“Just returning the thorough eye-fucking you gave me earlier.”
My jaw fell open. “The—I—no!” My voice was pretty much a squeak at the end.
“Oh yes you did,” he chuckled, eyes still locked on mine. “And I enjoyed it. You can look me up and down anytime, Nora.”
Logan is a prankster. He’s fun, funny, and even more fun to write! Plus he has this adorable sweet side which makes it that much more intense when he turns on the hot bodyguard half of his personality in order to protect Nora and the future he wants to have with her.
(You might remember Logan from the last chapter of Burn. He grew up in NYC with Adam Callaway and learned to cook from Adam’s mother! He also used to play rugby with Michael Sutherland when they both lived in New York.)
What: Seth Lloyd
Seth is the man that drove Nora away from her family. He’s the threat that’s constantly on the horizon.
Where: Calhoun Beach, South Carolina
I was so happy to head back to Calhoun Beach for another installment. This time around we’ve added a whole cast of new characters and a new location! “Grounds For Thought: a place for introverts and insomniacs” is a coffee/record/book store owned and operated by Nora’s best friend Molly.
When: 6 Years After Nora Left Home
The story picks up after six years on the run. Nora is about to start a nice, quiet life in Calhoun Beach. She just needs to get through the last six months of Madeline Faint’s final tour.
Nora hasn’t put down roots or had a friend in six years. She’s tired and lonely. All she wants is to write music and live her life. She’s set herself up to disappear into the quiet town of Calhoun Beach. Lucky for her, she’s moved in next door to the hot surfing yogi pastry chef with a silly streak as wide as his loyalty runs deep. (I think that made sense?)
You have to read the book to find out what happens, but suffice it to say, Logan plays a critical role in helping Nora put her past to rest and start a new life in Calhoun Beach!
Cue the sexy times! (and happy reading!)
There are two different book covers for 5 Dirty Sins! I’ve gotten some push back from the retailers about how sexy my book covers are, so I decided to test a non-racy cover at iBooks. Below you can look at both versions. Feel free to let me know which one you prefer and why! I will always stick with whatever my readers want most!
